American scientists have conducted research which confirmed that the level of vitamin C in the blood is associated with the frequency of stroke.

The respondents have taken blood samples and tested the level of the presence of vitamin C and 41% of them had avarage range,45% of them had less then recommended and 14% of them had lack of vitamin C.

However,it turned out that the respondents who have already suffered a stroke or brain hemorrhage had a deficit of vitamin C,while the healthy subjects had normal levels of the vitamin.

Also,it seems that vitamin C is extremely important,not only because of cerebrovascular health,but also because it can contribute to strengthening the immune system and the production of collagen,a protein essential for building bones,tissue and skin.
