Vitamin C reduce the risk of stroke
American scientists have conducted research which confirmed that the level of vitamin C in the blood is associated with the frequency of stroke.
The respondents have taken blood samples and tested the level of the presence of vitamin C and 41% of them had avarage range,45% of them had less then recommended and 14% of them had lack of vitamin C.
However,it turned out that the respondents who have already suffered a stroke or brain hemorrhage had a deficit of vitamin C,while the healthy subjects had normal levels of the vitamin.
Also,it seems that vitamin C is extremely important, not only because of cerebrovascular health, but also because it can contribute to strengthening the immune system and the production of collagen,a protein essential for building bones, tissue and skin.
